We are Hang Framing, a custom picture framers based in Retford, but we also provide a local framing service for the surrounding villages.

Andy and the team offer a curated range of frames that not only look amazing but are also great quality and take the guesswork out of choosing. We have a competitive simple pricing structure with fast turnaround times and make sure that we work in an ethical and sustainable way.

We can custom frame just about anything, from canvas art, paper art, photography, objects, shirt framing, textiles, certificates; if we can mount it, we can probably frame it!

Our framers adhere to the proper standards. All our framing is done to a conservation level, meaning that your art will be protected from things like acid staining, which is caused by cheap mount and backing materials that can cause irreversible damage to your art. We use acrylic glazing instead of glass because it has a higher UV protection, is lightweight and does not shatter. It is also less prone to condensation. Museums tend to use acrylic as a preferred option to glass.

We care about our impact on the planet, so we recycle waste materials where possible, use plastic-free packaging made from FSC certified cardboard. We have also teamed up with Trees for Life, a charity that is reforesting the Scottish Highlands. We have our very own Hang Grove for which you can donate £6 to plant a tree. Eventually, all our frame mouldings will be from certified forests, but in the meantime, you can use a filter to only select the ones that are.
